ASC Interviews
The purpose of the Polish Yale Alumni Schools Committee (ASC) is to represent the Yale Office of Undergraduate Admissions in Poland. It currently consists of 9 members, all of whom are Yale Alumni. The committee members interview applicants to Yale College and submit a report which evaluates the applicant’s potential for contributing to and benefiting from a Yale education. The report becomes part of the application file of the applicant, and is reviewed at the same time that the application is considered by the Admissions Office. A typical interview lasts between one and two hours, and also allows the applicant to learn more about Yale. In addition, ASC members occasionally speak about Yale at secondary schools in their neighborhood, and act as resources for anyone interested in receiving information about Yale. The office of Undergraduate Admissions sends the Poland ASC the names and addresses of the applicants who are to be interviewed. Applicants should NOT contact the ASC directly. They should visit the Yale website, and proceed according to the instructions. The Alumni Schools Committee of Poland was established in 2003 by Aleksander Rechter – ‘69 (Berkeley College), who has been its Director since. With the number of applications from Poland If you hold a Yale degree and would like to help us by interviewing a few bright college applicants from Poland, please contact Aleksander Rechter at ASC@yalepoland.org increasing every year, we are always looking for new Yale alumni to join our Alumni School Committee.
