About US
Greetings!
Welcome to the Yale Club of Poland (“YCP”): your local connection to Yale and to other Yalies in Poland, of Polish descent, or Poland-loving. We inaugurated our Club in the Summer 2007 at a reception held by the American Ambassador to Poland, Victor Ashe, YC – ’69.
As a community of over 50 Yalies, we look to promote Yale in Poland and cultivate friendships among Yale alumni by engaging in social and cultural activities. Over 2008/2009, we hosted meetings with Mrs. Anne Applebaum, Mrs. Wanda Rapaczynski, and Mrs. Susan Rose-Ackerman. We completed the first edition of the Yale Book Award, through which we awarded eight books to outstanding high school students in six Polish cities. Our Alumni Schools Committee interviewed over 50% of all applicants to Yale College in Poland.
I cordially invite you to join our club by registering on this website, and/or to renew your membership. I hope our eclectic range of activities and projects will appeal to your interests! If we haven’t met yet, I encourage you to send me a few words about your background, as well as any ideas, questions, or suggestions you would like to share. I look forward to seeing all of you at our next event.
Yours Truly,
Yale Club of Poland, President
